plot notes - spanko family meeting

Everyone's having a great time, it's really chill and even though Vanessa is there trying to create drama, the others are able to diffuse it.  

Violet's a little grumpy cuz of the jet lag and being without substances, still not knowing too well how to cope with the stress.  But she and Chloe have bonded on the trip and are feeling closer than ever right now.

As the meeting progresses, almost coming to an end, everyone's teasing Violet (or something) so she finally says, "can we just get onto the reason that we're even here?"

Everyone looks to Gabe, because it was kinda his idea.  He explains that being spanked in front of others has been an effective tool for Violet's discipline.  Then asks her to recite to everyone what their deal had been.

"For every penny we went over budget, we would get one stroke of the cane in 'public'."

"And how much did you go over?"

Unable to keep a straight face Violet said, "Twelve cents," with a snicker.

"Uh huh, I'm glad you're finding amusement in this."  He paused, glancing over at me (Chloe), then at Izaak before addressing the group again.  "And I think there's something else that needs to be let out in the open."

Violet and I blinked, looking at each other in confusion, then back at Gabe.  "What are you talkin' about?  We didn't do anything else."

The way Gabe looked at me made my stomach twist into knots.  What if he knew?  He'd solved the case for Violet and found out my secret?

"How about that each of you brought home drugs from your trip?"

"Oh that," Violet said with another laugh.

And I breathed a sigh of relief.

"But that doesn't count cuz it's legal."

"Wait, you did what?" Izaak asked, standing and folding his arms as he glared at me.  

My cheeks reddened.  I wasn't used to being the center of attention like this, especially when in trouble.  I could see why Gabe felt it was effective.  "We didn't use the company card to buy it."

"I don't care, it's a federal offense to even have it, much less transport it."

"Dude, do you realize how ridiculous you sound right now?  Who cares."  Violet was so nonchalant, but didn't realize how much the law-breaking was a pet peeve of Izaak's.  

His eyebrow cocked as he looked at Violet.  "It's the law." **blah blah, idk what to say here cuz who cares!**

Just remembering that they brought Molly the oil so that can be part of the reason they're in trouble.
