driving to wendys

My tummy growled as I popped another peanut m&m in my mouth, hoping it counted for at least a little protein.  I was high as fuck, laying back on my couch with a glass pipe in one hand, lighter in the other, laptop on my lap, weather channel playing on my tv in the background.  I’d had a week-long tolerance break while I was with my family in Texas, which meant I needed this bowl more than ever.

What I hadn’t considered was picking up any food on my way home from the train station

I glanced back as if I could see anything through my closed blinds.  It was dark and snowy, supposed to only be a few flurries with heavier snow overnight.  The first big snow of the winter had happened while I was in Texas, which devastated me.  There’s nothing that excites a southerner like a snowstorm.  So I was excited for tonight’s.

And definitely needed food before it got too late.

I chewed on a couple more m&ms before rolling off the couch.

Well, one more hit.

I sucked in the smoke, coughing and giggling at the dramatic snow scene on tv.

Stumbling to the bathroom, I splashed water on my face.  I looked high as fuck.  I should walk, but it was just so cold and slippery.  And anyway, the cold air would sober me up.

I tugged a pair of jeans over my pajamas, didn’t bother with putting on a bra, just my warm puffy jacket, hood up.

The snow crunched under my Uggs, the boots I’d bought before moving north because I thought they were for winter.  They’re not.  But it was the best I had for now.  I looked up at the dark sky, snow flurries landing on my nose.  I giggled.  Definitely pulling an all-nighter for this storm!

I checked my pocket and realized that I’d forgotten my keys, so I had to go back into the apartment to retrieve them.  That was probably the universe warning me to stay home.  But did I listen?  Nope, absolutely not.

There were no cars in the apartment parking lot – everyone was still home for the holidays.  I’d come back as quickly as possible, on the cheapest date.  But most people have normal families that they actually wanted to spend time with.  At least most of the people who lived in the student apartment complex.

I backed out with ease, creeping along to the road.  There weren’t cars anywhere, but I couldn’t see very well, and okay, if I’m being completely honest, I was sorta regretting my decision.  But what other choice did I have?  Wendy’s was too far of a walk in this weather.  But it was an easy drive.

It did take me about 3 times as long to get there as it normally would, but I was being careful.  And spacing out a lot.  And hungry.  And kinda scary the closer I got because there were some actual cars out there…

But I made it!

My first idea was to just go through the drive thru, but it looked like a tight squeeze… wasn’t sure if I could make it without running over the curb.  And the last thing I needed tonight was to fuck up my car.

So instead, I parked perfectly between the two white lines, sighing with relief.  My tummy growled as if to also give its approval.  Then I toppled out of the car into the icy air.  I could hear the ocean in the distance as I stalked up to Wendy’s, acting like the most sober person ever.

The door swung open and the fry-aroma smacked me in the nose, beckoning me forth.  I was probably drooling by the time I got to the counter to order.

Everything was still hazy as I told her the food I wanted, ordering extra so I’d have some for later.  As I searched for my debit card, she got a little impatient with me, but eventually I found it hidden deep in the pocket of my coat.  I really should find an easier place for that.  It was only a momentary panic, but still.

I stared at the workers as I waited for my food.  In my state, everything seemed so fascinating… the way they quickly threw together lettuce and tomato and burger pattie and cheese and squished them between bread.  And getting the fries out of the deep fryer.  Pouring the salt over them… it looked like the snow!  And then sifting them into a cardboard box for me.

Oh wait, not for me, for someone in the drive thru.

I watched again, this time feeling more confident that they were making my meal.  My tummy jumped with joy when the employee walked towards me, depositing a full paper bag and large soda into my hands.

If I had 3 hands, I would’ve already started eating.  Instead, I turned around.

And nearly ran right into the solid figure that had been quietly waiting behind me for I dunno how long.

I flinched and took a step back, looking up to see… “Jeremy?”

“What are you doing?”

“Isn’t it obvious?”

His eyes were narrowed in that way they always got when he was irritated about something, about to let out his big-brother-voice.  But instead of speaking, he just lightly grasped my elbow and walked me to where he had been sitting, eating alone.

“Sure, I’d love to join you, I wasn’t planning on going straight back to the apartment for some much-needed alone time.”

He didn’t let go of my arm, and didn’t say anything until we arrived at the table.  “Sit.”

My heart skipped a beat and I wasn’t sure how I felt about him ordering me around outside of work hours (I kinda loved it?).  “But…”

Then he gave me that look and I decided not to test my luck.

“Why are you here?  Eating alone?” I asked after plopping down across from him.  It was weird seeing him in civilian clothes… sometimes I forgot that he’s just a normal dude and not a 24/7 cop.

“Why are you here?  While high off your ass?”

Hm.  Maybe he *is* a cop 24/7?

I squirmed in my seat, suddenly becoming very interested in digging through the bag of food.  “I was hungry and didn’t have anything to eat at home.  Now it’s your turn.  You don’t live around here…”

“I was hungry.”  He said it simply, with a period at the end, still looking at me with those narrowed, angry eyes.

In another world, where he was a spanko, he’d take me home after this and smack some sense into me.  But here in this moment, the best I could expect was a good tongue lashing when we got to the parking lot.  There was an ache inside of me, wishing that the spanko fantasy could be a real life thing.

But what I want never comes true.  It’s always too unrealistic.

I lost myself in the greasy burger, able to completely ignore Jeremy’s stare, fully engulfed by the yumminess of terrible fast food while under the influence of the best drug ever.

Then I finished and snapped back to the present moment.  He still had the same angry look on his face.  In fact, I wouldn’t have known he’d moved an inch since I sat down, except now his food and all of the ketchup-y napkins I’d used were gone.

I was gushing to myself as I stood – Awww… he’s such a big brother. I wish I had someone like him!  Someone to keep me in line… take care of me… be an actual family member…

The air was colder than I’d remembered, and the snow was picking up.

“Well, it was good seeing you…” I said, digging my keys out of my pocket and daring to go in for a hug before saying goodbye.

“What?”  Then Jeremy snatched the keys out of my hand without any effort at all.  “Do you really think I’m going to let you drive again in that condition?  Are you out of your fucking mind?”  He wasn’t yelling, but his voice was stern enough that it made me chew on my lower lip.

“But my car…”

“You car can stay here until you’re sober enough to drive.  Come on.”  He didn’t wait for me to follow him, just grabbed my upper arm to lead me around to his truck.

My heart pounded inside of my chest as I recognized the vibe I always fantasized about, even more so since meeting Jer a few months ago.  “Wait but… what if it snows too much?  Will it be safe here?”

“Safer than you driving while high.”

Oh, he was actually mad.  Like for real.

He opened the passenger’s seat door and motioned for me to get in, then slammed it shut, shaking the whole car.

When he got inside, I said, “I’m really fine.  There’s nobody out – nobody in this town.  I was fine.  Why are you making this into such a big deal.”

“Because you drove under the influence!” he snapped.  “You were barely able to walk in Wendy’s, kept knocking shit over, spacing out.  The last place you need to be is behind the wheel!  You’re not stupid.  You know better.”

“Ughhhhhh, Jeremyyyyyyy…”  Lol, my bratty side comes out with him sometimes… he had pushed every spanko button I had and… I just couldn’t help it.

He was having none of that.  “Enough.  Your car stays here and I’m taking you home.  Period.  Seatbelt on.”

My feelings were all over the place.  I really needed my car at home… how was I even going to pick it up tomorrow?

Oh shit where are my keys?

Oh yeah, he has them.

Maybe I am too high to drive back home.

As the seatbelt clicked, Jeremy started the truck.  I think he was probably fussing at me the whole 3 minute drive back to my apartment.  Probably telling me that I should have just walked.  I dunno.  I wasn’t really listening.

Until he said something like, “you know what you need?”

And my heart stopped because we all know how that sentence ends in fantasy, right?  But there was no way, right?  Right?!

“My car to be here in this parking lot and not in the Wendy’s parking lot?”

“You need discipline.”

I laughed.  It was a nervous laugh because… where was this actually going?  “I’m disciplined enough.”

“No, you’re not.  Driving under the influence?  Come on, Callie.  What the hell was that?  You could have killed yourself or someone else.”

“There’s no one out here to kill.  I was hungry.  Jeez, relax.”

He blew out of his nose like a dragon.  “You know what.  Get out.”  And then he just opened the driver’s side door while I just sat there, a little stunned.  Because that vibe was… um…

Not gonna lie, I’d been dreaming of a moment like this for aaaaaages.  But knew the fantasy wouldn’t go how I wanted.  Because it would be weird, right?  He would discipline his sister in that way because that’s just the culture he grew up in.  But I’m just… me.  I’m not important enough for that.

The door opened next to me and I turned to see Jeremy RIGHT THERE.  Suddenly I was feeling like I had been adopted as little sister because he had the most spankoy look in his eyes as he said, “Come on.”

When we got to my doorway, he sighed loudly.  “You didn’t even fully close your door!  Callie!  What the hell.”

“Yes, it’s so dangerous to leave my door cracked in a town full of literally 1 inhabitant… me.”  And I gave him an eye roll.

He suddenly took my chin in his hand.  “This attitude is going to stop right now, Young Lady, do you understand?”  It was so direct and toppy and his eyes were so serious that I just gulped and nodded.

When he let go, it was to shut the door.  We both took off our jackets, then before I even had the chance to sit and get out of my boots, he was dragging me over to the kitchen chair.

Wait, what is he doing?!

He is sitting.  That’s what he is doing.  And now he’s pulling me closer…

Oh fuck 😅

My instinct was to pull away, and Jeremy’s was to drag me back close to him.  “Tonight you’ve crossed the line.  You’re so shitfaced that you couldn’t even remember to lock up your home, and you chose to drive in that condition?”

I chewed on my fingernail, still squirming, wavering between excited and wanting to run.

“That’s the dumbest, most irresponsible stunt you could have pulled.”

“Nothing was going to happen, there’s…”

“No one on the road, I know.  I’ve heard your excuses, and I don’t accept them.  You put your life and everyone else’s at risk because you didn’t want to spend an extra buck for delivery or a cab or walk.  It’s not like you didn’t even have other options.”

I hung my head, his words (and tone 😅) kinda getting to me.

“And you put yourself at risk of legal trouble. I could arrest you right now and take you in.”

My eyes widened.  “Wait, noooo!”

He just stared at me for a moment, letting it sink in.  “I’m not going to – I care about your future, I don’t want your financial aid to be pulled.”  I breathed a sigh of relief, to which he promptly said, “I’m going to handle it myself.”

I dared ask, “w-what do you mean?”

“I’m giving you a spanking.”

He said it simply, so matter-of-fact, without any feeling whatsoever behind it.  He knew what it meant for me… how I had this… interest… but… he was going to do it anyway?

“W-wait… Jeremy…”  He raised his eyebrows, waiting to see what I had to say.

I wasn’t sure what I had to say.

“... I won’t do it again?”  It came out pathetic.  Even I wasn’t convinced.

“You won’t after I get through with you.”  He pulled me closer and began unbuttoning my jeans.

My heart pounded in my chest.  After this, there’s no going back to our normal relationship.  Even if this didn’t change anything for him, it did for me – I could feel myself already getting way too attached to him.

He tugged down my jeans, pj pants, and panties to my knees in one quick motion, then tipped me over his lap.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to plead and struggle or not.  So I just went with whatever felt right – “Wait, Jer, I’m sorry!”

“Funny how you weren’t sorry until the second I put you over my knee.”

I was about to reply, but his hand came down too quickly, right in the center of my bottom, with a loud POP! that rang through my empty apartment, and was followed by a series of POP!s, getting louder with each second.  It took me by surprise so much at first, a harder hand than I’d ever felt, and not taking any mercy on me.  Even my fantasies of him hadn’t expected it to sting this much.

Within seconds I was kicking and squirming and exclaiming, “OW!” every half-second.
