izaak and violet argument

"Esperanza, come on, let's go!" Izaak barked as I leaned against the broom handle, staring into space.  I was dripping with sweat, stomach growling from lack of carbs today, and just ready to rest.

"Give me a fucking break already!" I growled back, about to explode.

"This is part of the routine, you agreed to abide by it this weekend."

"Why is your routine so fucking strenuous and boring??  We've already run up and down the stairs a billion times to do the fucking laundry, and now you have me cleaning everything up to military standards?  I'm not your fucking slave."

Izaak stopped what he was doing to stand up straight and look at me, hands on his hips.  "You're acting like I'm torturing you."

"This is torture!  Your life is the worst.  Why do you need to have everything so regimented and orderly?  How fucking ridiculous and boring."

For once he didn't remark on my colorful language, instead shaking his head at me.  "This is not that difficult."

"You don't know what's difficult for me.  You don't know what I'm going through right now."

He raised his eyebrows, but didn't ask.  I wished I could tell him everything.

But his silence just riled me up more.  Through gritted teeth I said, "Do you know fucking anything about anybody?"

"I know you're about to earn another spanking if you don't get back to work."

"Whatever, go ahead.  I don't care," I snapped, pushing the broomstick away so it landed on the floor with a loud THUD.

Izaak sighed as if he actually didn't want to do this.  He grabbed my upper arm and gently pulled me towards the couch.  I wasn't sure if I wanted to comply or give him hell, but before I was even able to make that decision, he already had me over his lap and my shorts and panties down to my knees.  As his hand clapped against my bare and sweaty bottom, I bit down on my hand to keep myself from squealing and showing that he had any effect on me.  It always caught me by surprise how stingy his hand could be, but I just buried my face in my hands, determined not to let him win.

Of course, he did win.  Within a few seconds I said, "Fine, I'll get back to your stupid chores."

Izaak didn't stop just yet, landing a few extra swats on my sit spots before allowing me to stand.  He stood me in front of him, my shorts and panties still down as he hand onto my wrists and looked me in the eyes.  "Careful with that attitude, Esperanza.  You're going to get more than you bargained for if you keep it up."

I wanted to say "whatever" and roll my eyes, but something about his piercing brown eyes told me to swallow my attitude and comply.  So I just nodded and he let me readjust my clothing.

Stomping through the apartment, I completed Izaak's list of chores, keeping my mouth shut for once but making it known that I wasn't happy.  He eventually said, "Okay, that's enough for today," and admired our cleaning work.  When I grumbled in response, he sighed again.  "Alright, I see you're still with your attitude.  Come on, let's go."

I expected him to spank me again, but instead he walked to the front door, leading me back downstairs and outside.  My heart pumped as I wondered where we were going now.  Did this man ever slow down?  "I want to change the bet," I said, jogging a little to keep up with his long strides.  "Instead of paddling you, when I win, I want you to live on my routine for the weekend.  Loosen up a bit, live a little."

"The bet was already sealed," he responded, but I felt him give a soft smile underneath all his grumpyness.

Rolling my eyes I asked, "where are we going?"

He didn't answer because we had already arrived at the gym a block away from his apartment.

"More exercise?  Are you trying to kill me?"

Izaak led me inside, scanning a card and nodding at the desk attendant.  He grabbed 2 towels and put one over my shoulder.  A fire burned in my chest, pissed off at this torture.  Another part of me was tingly at Izaak's calm demeanor, his ability to take whatever I threw at him without even flinching.  Of course, it also drove me crazy.  Why didn't he react to all of my nonsense?

"Wait here," he said, strolling into a locker room.  I scanned the gym as I waited.  ***insert description here***. Then Izaak came back out with a pair of boxing gloves.

Now my eyebrows raised.  "Are you going to beat me up now?" I wondered jokingly.  He didn't respond, just led me to a literal punching bag and handed me the gloves.

"You need to deal with your anger and stop taking it out on me."

I stood there for a moment, finally sliding my hand inside the fabric.  It felt silly having this massive red hands.  But Izaak was serious.

He showed me the proper stance and instructed how to punch, finally ordering me to try it out.  I swatted at the bag only to have him chuckle at me.  "Come on, I know you've got more rage inside you than that."  I rolled my eyes and tried again, only for him to keep egging me on.  "Think about how awful I am for making you clean."  My nostrils flared as I landed my fist against the bag.  "How annoying it was to see Vanessa at running group today."  Another punch.  "How pissed you are at Gabe for working you so hard."  Another punch.  "How Molly and Toby get so wrapped up in their own issues to pay attention to you."  And another.  "How you don't even feel like you know Chloe."  And another.  "How fucked up the system is."  I don't know how to keep describing these punches.  But I landed a few more as Izaak complimented my form and whatever else.  My arm muscles were on fire by the time I finished, my hair a sweaty mess matted against my face.  "Good work," he said, giving me a fist bump.  I pulled off the gloves, breathing heavy as he passed me a bottle of water, then went to return them to the locker room.  And it clicked — maybe Izaak knew more about me than I'd realized.  How did he know all the things I was angry about?  Had I even told him?
